I went out with the Dive Locker for the first time last week and I know I'll be back to see them when I get back to PCB for some diving.
5/21 - Seas were rough (~4-5ft waves) and I didn't take enough seasickness pills, but I somehow made it into the water for both dives. That was the only time I wasn't sick that trip, but it was my own fault for not preparing myself better. We dove the Black Bart and a bridge span on an inshore dive off the Narcosis. The second I hit the water the seasickness was gone and didn't return until I put my foot on the bottom rung of the ladder to climb back aboard....funny how that works. Loved the boat, the dives were good, the captain was great, and Joe, the dive master, was the best one I've ever had.
5/23 After waiting a day for the waves to subside, I tried an off-shore dive. ( I also medicated myself with regular Dramamine, which worked fine.) The waves were about 4ft, but I didn't get sick that trip. The water temps were in the mid-70's with vis around 25+/- feet. We dove the Accokeek and the twin tugs from the Fintastic. This day was especially exciting for me, since this was my first time seeing a shark. I've been certified for 14 years and actively diving for 3, but somehow whenever someone asked if I saw the shark they saw I was always looking the other way. Not this time though...looked to be a Bull shark approximately 6 ft long.
5/24 - Sadly, my last dive for a few months. I went on another off-shore dive from the Fintastic to see the Putnam and the Chippewa. The diving was great. Vis was a little better ~30ft with little current. The waves were also gentle 1ft swells, so I might not have needed the Bonine, but I used it anyway.
Hope I get to make another trip to PCB and go out with the Dive Locker again soon.
Thanks guys,
Jason
