I know any time is a good time for diving, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the best time of year would be to dive at the jetties, spring, summer, fall, etc..... A few friends of mine get a day trip to florida and I have never gone, simply for not having a good reason to go. But now that I know of good diving at the jetties, maybe I can convince them to go there for the day. Its about a 4 hour drive for us to get there

Easy rider,
The Jetties are a great dive year round. The problem that you will run in to is our algae blooms and seaweed washing in. Unfortunately, this can't be predicted very far in advance, but usually it does not last long. The best bet is to call down here or e mail us a few days before you are wanting to come down and we will let you know. Vis out there right now is around 30 feet and we have people diving daily, but the water is 58 degrees. Kind of chilly.
